Mr. Joseph Stam To All Instructors

Mr. Stam grew up with a theatrical streak encouraged by his mother, and as a film enthusiast encouraged by his older brother (who is now a film editor.) He took the stage as Peter Pan when he was eight years old and never stopped. Throughout high school he gained experience on stage, and worked behind the scenes with the Barter Youth Academy.

Since then he has continued his theatre journey, directed two feature films, and acted in five award-winning films that have been distributed globally. Joseph loves sharing what he has studied about performance with up and coming actors. He hopes to direct this theatre class in the fall for Bristol Academy, and Lord-willing a film class in the spring. As an actor and director, team-building is one of Joseph's favorite aspects of the arts. Having grown up in a house with ten siblings, he knows what it means to work as a group. Joseph grew up in a christian home and has since made his faith his own, now attending City Church in Bristol, VA. Joseph looks forward to meeting your students and having a part in the exciting plan the Lord has laid out for them.
